no such thing anymore, is there? no D that can stop other teams wk after wk, just ones who stomp teams when they get the better of em, right? so it's TOs, sacks & the odd great KR? anyone else impressed with Stl's chances of having a good-scoring D, with Laurinitis, good edge rushers & Finneginsane & the equally nutty rook of enormous talent @ CB?

that'll change as soon as some coach cops to the idea that "the book" is wrong & the "prevent" defense won't w*rk against a spread offense
it'll only take one to figure it out n' the rest will copy it soonest …until then it'll stay a crapshoot w/scheduling being the most important factor …Seahawks would be a truly awesome D this yr if they didn't have a horrid 5-gm stretch in the middle of the season…

I haven't payed that much attention to the Rams' situation, but what you have described is what made the Lion's a startable fantasy D last year. They's get pressure on QBs resulting in sacks and turnovers but they give up a lot of yards and points. Bottom line is that most Ds should be drafted with the fantasy categories other than points against as the driver.
