10-tm, 1/2-pt ppr – start 2 RB, WR, W/R, W/T & the usual
TEN RB 1.08 Chris Johnson
OAK RB 2.03 Darren McFadden
SD RB 3.08 Ryan Mathews (keeper-FA)
DAL WR 4.03 Dez Bryant
DEN WR 5.08 Eric Decker
PIT WR 6.03 Antonio Brown
SD QB 7.03 Philip Rivers
ATL RB 7.08 Jacquizz Rodgers
DET QB 7.10 Matthew Stafford (keeper-FA)
MIN TE 8.03 Kyle Rudolph
BAL WR 9.10 Torrey Smith
NO RB 10.06 Mark Ingram
NO RB 10.08 Darren Sproles (keeper-FA)
PIT RB 13.08 Jonathan Dwyer
HOU Def 14.03 Houston Defense
DET RB 15.08 Jahvid Best
SD PK 16.08 Nate Kaeding
There was a TE frenzy & I couldn't get a backup; nothing left but the likes of Watson & Dickson. A sore spot if Rudy doesn't pan out. Rivers faces the Saints for Stafford's bye so he should at least be throwin' a lot. All 4 wides have diff bye-wks so I saw no reason to grab a 5th – plenty of interesting guys still left in the FA pool if I need another. Dwyer's a WAG & easily cuttable if I need the roster spot. The rest of the guys musta been on drugs to let me get that passle o' RBs – I can always deal one if I need help elsewhere.
Needless to say, I am thrilled! If this ain't a championship tm, I'll hang up my hat (…it seems content sitting there on the shelf, but I can't see that hanging it up would do any harm…)

Agreed with your assessment. Once Matthews heals you can just trot out those 3 guys and Stafford and plug in any schlep at WR and watch the points roll in. If the worst thing you can say about a team is "I'm weak at TE" then I'd say you're in a pretty decent spot. Plus, since it's PPR, you have a gem in Sproles as well. I see you took the gamble like I did on Rivers, which I think will pay off. Last year was an anomaly. The fact is, the guy had over 4000 yards and 25TDs, he just threw an abnormal number of interceptions. He's good enough to get that corrected, and a healthy Gates will help too. Plus, your top 2 WRs have the potential to finish top-10, and Brown top 15ish. I'd say you were a contendah for sure.

dont get the appeal of 10-teamers – hard not to have a good team. if there's just a W/T & no TE slot in with the "usual" there's no reason to have a TE at all, except the top 3-4, so a backup would be of no concern.

sorry, my typical laziness – QB, TE, K, DEF – "the usual"
the appeal of the 10-tm lg is mostly that we've got 10 guys who play the game reasonably well, (mostly) show up (or phone/Skype in) on draft day, regularly participate and don't leave their teams hang out to dry once they've had an injury or a coupla tough losses; if we could find 16 people like that, we'd have a 16-tm lg …but we can't …it's not like we haven't tried…
…and still, you'd be amazed how many of them manage not to have a good team …I've managed that myself more than once; it often comes of believing in people like Rich Gannon, Eddie Royal n' Peerless Price, just to name a few …hopefully I don't have any of them this yr (but I just couldn't resist takin' a flyer on Jahvid Best again…)

I really like those top 5 picks to go along with your keepers of Mathwes/Stafford/Sproles. Getting Torrey Smith where you did was a big time steal.
That said, I'm not a fan of J Rodgers and would see if the Turner owner might have some extra TE parts that would help you shore up you're only real weekness.
Nice work!

Thankee. Torrey Smith was available because this is Pgh n' everybody hates the Ravens. Not enough to pass on Ray Rice unfortunately. Still, I found it tough to believe I got him that late. Then again, Reggie Wayne 10.10, Garcon 11.04, Heyward-Bey 12.08 & Denarius Moore 17.10 (!!!) were all still available…
I, in fact, am a big fan o' "Jack-Whizz" Rodgers n' passed up David Wilson n' Ben Tate to take him there. I expect big things n' thought I could afford to gamble on him providin' 'em. That said, Turner's owner has Olsen as his TE2 and loves to deal. It'd prolly be the more prudent move to take your advice but I'll hafta ruminate on that one. If I'd wanted to go TE with that pick, I coulda had Gonzo…
