My brother in CA told me about Kaepernick back in July & I've had him on my watch list all season.  I heard he was every bit as good as he looked last night.  Plus, he can run too.

That said, my money's on Smith not goin' away.  I dunno why they took the gloves off the kid last night when they've always kept Smith on a short leash but I think he'll at least get a crack to prove he can do the same; I seem to recall he was in the running for the Heisman back at Utah, so you'd figure the talent oughta be there.  Hasn't looked all that sharp in the pros but he's been screwed around alot.  Of course, mebbe he's the kind of guy that just begs for gettin' screwed around n' it'll happen again – yaneverknow…
