didn't see the twitter post? and yeah, i liked having the roeth/wallace hook up. Obviously if Wallace leaves it hurts Roeth I think for sure…if Wallace goes though with Flacco or Brady throwing to him, I think his value doesn't change or skyrockets…

What did Antonio Brown say/tweet?
And I think that Wallace will be gone. Some team with a late 1st round draft pick will go after him. Think about what the Falcons gave up to get Julio Jones (2 first rounders, 1 second rounder, and 2 fourth round picks). While Wallace would cost more in salary dollars, the price of a single draft pick is a steal by comparison.

Wallace is EXACTLY the WR the Patsies need – not even Tron fits their needs this well.
i'm glad i'm no longer a Patsfan – it only took 4 mths back in Beantown for the insufferability of local fans to revoke my 50-yr love affair with the franchise – cuz i dont think BB will upset his view on salary structure enough to do what would be the perfect deal.
and now that i'm unloading – should Belichick be considered the draftday genius he is when he only ever uses his overstock of picks to be next yr's draft favorite & never cashes in?! were he not a genius plugging in low pix & undrafted FAs, that & his terrible record judging 1st rd talent would be far more exposed.

At least when they fire him the next guy should have a few first rounders to pick…
I was happy 2 see Ben redo his $$contract$$… now a swift knife to the katsup bottle & we can sign Wallace… lot of Hines fans will not understand… but this city has a ton of that

I think he stays a Steeler. A team will have to give up a 1st round pick and 10 million a year for Wallace, which is a lot. I also feel fans think more of him than NFL guys do.
Would the Pats give up a 1st for a player? That isn't their M.O.
Baltimore doesn't have the room and has Torrey Smith
Houston isn't in a great financial situation either
SF MAYBE, but I can't see that being the focus for their offense either.
My guess is Steelers match any deal that comes in, cut Ward/Kem, maybe even Hampton to get it done

You know that Wallace now has to be on the Skins radar, along with V-Jax. How tied are the Steelers hands with the cap?

Washington is not, and never was, in the market for Wallace as their 1st round pick is too high. I don't think that they are going to give up their newly aquired #2 overall pick to sign Wallace (and wouldn't have parted with #6 either). He's a RFA and if they sign him they would owe the Steelers a 1st rounder. It's a team more towards the end of round one that may make a play for Wallace.
VJax on the other hand is a UFA and is a definate possibility for Washington.

but the Steelers might be tied up enough by a heavily front-loaded offer to have to accept the late 1st from a "have" (NE, SF) with cap room.

With SF signing Randy .. i think they are out of the mix for Wallace.. that leaving NE… I think there has to be some serious PROs to taking Wallace…
1. Big B doesnt have to prove he cant draft a good first rounder
2. See point 1

Word is the reason they didn't franchise him is because they didn't have the cap space for it.
BTW the skins are screwed now that the NFL is holding an extra $18 mil against them. No wonder they're trying to fight that ruling.

if the niners are done acquiring veteran wr's after the moss signing, we're in trouble. after crabtree and moss, we have kyle fumbling f***head williams (maybe ginn, but he's nothing to write home about as a receiver either). morgan is gone, so, while our TE's are strong, if moss quits, we have nothing worthwhile to line up alongside crabs. i'm hoping we get after wallace, but at the very least, we need a lloyd/manningham/caldwell/mark clayton.

Forget wallace, the niners ain't giving up a first. I heard they are interested in manningham.

Well, Steelers cut Ward, Kem, and Hampton took a pay cut. Think I was pretty close!
