I download a buncha serendipitous images – quite often whatever I run across in generic-type searches (like pg & post #s, fer example).  Anything I like, be it a cute babe, something that'd make a decent wallpaper, pics that I just think are neat, pics that I think are especially funny, pics bearing on some area of interest (I have a lot of areas of interest) and, yes, pics that look like I could use 'em sometime for a millstone.

I ran across the base pic sometime in the last few weeks n' thought I could use it sometime for a millstone pic.  But I thought it would w*rk out to be something funny.

My first idea this go-round was to do a Bastille-Day-related pic.  Got busy n' didn't get that done in time.  But the Bastille Day picsearch was interesting n' I kept kickin' that around for an extra few days even though I couldn't use it anymore.  Somewhere in there, I got another idea to cop a font (prolly laziness) n' did a side "1400" search to find one.  Not much luck – the only useful thing I found was the "1400 Bar & Grill" – still, it looked good n' had a plain white bg that made it easy to cut out so I figured could always paste it over a coupla cute honeys in a bar someplace if I didn't get any better ideas.

Well, I didn't get any better ideas.  I got a folder of cute honeys in bars but that seemed kinda lame. I was stuck at '1398' n' needed to finish some kinda pic just to be able to pad posts.  Thought I could find something I could use in the recent downloads rather than dip as usual into the extensive 'user' directories I keep for milestones (the pics in there having already engendered something in the way of inspiration, most of that, however, being a tad less than stellar – sometimes I can tweak that but sometimes not & I was leaning heavily towards 'not' by this juncture).

Pulled out about a half dozen, mostly with reasonably hot chickies, that I could come up with a quasi-clever line for.  None of 'em really sang.  Then I hit the "1400 Bar & Grill" n' figured I could always fall back on that – I needed to find something.  Almost immediately afterwards, I found the pic with the dude with the beer n' grill.  Hmm, Bar & Grill, beer n' grill!

Did the easy cutout n' pasted it over the base pic; looked decent.  Not too tough to come up with a reasonably close match to the font.  Tried a few n' then a few more n' then thought of one that oughta w*rk (I got hundreds, that's not as easy as it sounds).  It was kinda close – hadda scrunch it a bit n' then stretch it a bit but it didn't look too bad.  Treated it a little extra to get the depth right n' the orange border was easy.  It matched up pretty well.

So.

I agree, the subject matter was less than ideal.  Specifically, it holds no particular attraction for the biological sexual norm.  Nor is it funny enough to stand on its own in that respect.  Usually, I'd reject that n' try for something better.  But over that particular period of days, it seemed to be about the best the Muse was willing to let me have n' I was tired of arguing about it.

The next one should be cuter…
