we got a problem with postin' alternative pics n' I Know I am a big offender

although I don't recall it, must've posted fer thread-post 888 because I recognized a lot  of the pics n' I seem to recall postin' a lot of the pics

went lookin' fer one now n' I recognized all the pics n' I believe I posted about a half-dozen of 'em before

not only ain't that fair to post-padders who come along later lookin' fer pics, but it's even a prob fer me when it turns out I need the same number again

guess we (esp me) gotta quit doin' that …the web's a big place n' gettin' bigger alla time but there ain't all that  many quality number pics out there…

I don't seem to have any data on the record for consecutive posts

I usedta copy n' paste from the previous stat pg at Rockys when I did a new one; if I saved one, I don't know where …nobody ever kept stats at Cudas at all insofar as I am aware

according to the XL file, the highest possible record in the first 305 pgs woulda been DGB with 172 max: 6 full pgs o' 25 preceded by 12 n' followed by 10 on the next pg …I remember ahlems set the record n' it was over 200 but I don't remember how high he took it

stats in the XL file only go up to my leading 2784th post n' I got something over 7700 there by the time it faded so it's not like we're anything near complete

…still, I'm figgerin' anything over 300 to be the new record unless somebody tells me different; I really don't think he took it that far…

hmph!  that  turned into a major project …over 2-&-a-half hrs…

thought about reusing a graphic, so I spent a lot of that time pokin' around in old milestone directories

I apparently did my 1st graphic for Rockys post 1500 n' didn't seem to do another one 'til post 4000!  then 4900 & 5K n' late strings in the 5Ks, 6Ks n' 7Ks

Cudas posts started with 500, then 800, 900 & 1K;  then a coupla others interspersed before I started in full-time commemorating every century-post-plus with home-made gfx

seemed like I've always done original gfx for milestones, but apparently I didn't settle into that until I'd already padded nearly 10K posts!

it's possible I lost some but I doubt that seriously – I'm pretty manic about saving my own gfx & I can't ever remember losing any; still got the first fakes I ever did n' that was nearly 20 yrs ago

couldn't really get the wavy lines on the tv to w*rk, though I tried

don't matter much, I s'pose, since you don't actually get  wavy lines with the tv anymore thanks to more modern technology but when I was a sprat you couldn't get a pic of a tv without there were wavy lines n' I thought they were definitely part of the atmosphere for this pic

but I couldn't get 'em to show up properly (although the are there)

oh well

…by which time I could be settin' a new consecutive-post record…
