Without getting into too much detail, I am dealing with a trade offer with a lot of high powered moving parts and a competitive offer from another team…having a tough time discerning the moving parts…so I thought a little combo tier/ranking might clear it up a little.
How would you combo tier these players in a 1/2 ppr (rb and wr mixed)?
CJ, AP, Mendy, Best, Beanie, Britt, Harvin, Holmes, DThomas, Austin, Dez, Decker, BMarsh, Bowe.
Thanks for your input.
As a side note, sorry to hear about barracuda…my fantasy blogging took a tumble for a couple years with the arrival of the little one but now I am back in full force, so I should be able to be on here fairly often!!!

Not knowing your scoring format and just basing this on who I'd like to have on my team, Here's how I see them…
1. Chris Johnson – good candidate for a big resurgence.
2. Brandon Marshall – if he can stay out of trouble, he'll be huge.
3. Percy Harvin – can produce even with a shaky QB. Still only 23.
4. Kenny Britt – tough break last yr but will be back to 100% soon.
5. Dez Bryant – tons of potential, but will always be limited by other weapons.
6. Adrian Peterson – sooner or later injuries are gonna take their toll.
7. Dwayne Bowe – solid, but has already reached max potential.
8. Santonio Holmes – not much upside with shaky QB situation.
9. Miles Austin – same age as Bowe, but longer injury history and more competition for targets.
10. Daniel Thomas – showed some flashes, but how long will Bush hold him off?
11. Eric Decker – lots of question marks. Will he be Peyton's #1 guy? How much does Peyton have left?
12. Beanie Wells – hasn't shown much at all, and doesn't have much more time to prove himself.
13. Mendenhall – will miss most of this season, and who knows what his role will be when he returns. Will be a free agent after this year, and who knows where he could end up?
14. Best – More questions than anyone in the league

Quick ranking, here's how I see them:
CJ – catches more passes than AP and not returning from injury
AP - if anyone can bounce back quickly from an ACL its AP
Marshall – reunited with Cutler who will feed him the ball every chance he gets
Harvin – could do even better with the developement of Ponder,
Austin – sounds like he's over his hammy issues and until Dez shows more consistency, I like him a little better and you can probably draft him a little later for almost the same production
Dez – better ability than Austin, but Austin is a proven player
Bowe – looking for a bouce back season w/ a healthy Cassel
Britt – about as high as I'm willing to rank him, still not able to cut on his repaired ACL
Wells – if Cards O can improve Wells can produce and probably hold off Williams to 3rd down duty
Decker – see Thomas; he might catch more passes, but DyT's ceiling is higher
Dy.Thomas – flip a coin between DyThomas and Decker
[BIG GAP HERE]
…
..
.
Holmes – QB play might actually get worse w/ Tebow packages
Best – still not cleared for contact, if he looks good in training camp he'd move up this list
Mendy – may start on the PUP list

I like this list except I move Decker up tied with Britt, and Thomas down under Holmes. Decker's the real deal, and will continue to get better in the NFL assuming he stays healthy, especially with Manning.
Britt has never really stayed healthy, and every time he flashes some real big time talent, he blows something out then leaves everyone wondering for next year (this is coming from someone who touted Britt his whole career, and still believes he has what it takes, but for one reason or another he always finds a way off the field).
Despite the fact that I will never….ever…ever forgive him for that fumble at the goalline in the Saints/Vikes NFC Championship game, ADP is an absolute specimen to behold. Word is, he's on pace to break records coming back from his injury, and may even be ready for parts of training camp (though likely held out till the opener for obvious reasons). I'd actually move him above CJ, only because I don't know if CJ can catch lightning in a bottle again (though he is definitely poised). However, I would still temper expectations on ADP, as even though I am damn near positive he will be a top 10 back this year, I don't know that he will bounce back to the tune of top 3 like normal. CJ is probably safe enough to take a chance on, and I feel has a higher ceiling, so I would keep him at the top.

Hey Eddy – I think that I must have been editing my list while you were responding. I've tweaked things a little bit.

I sort of agree with you, but still think Holmes will be better for the same reason Thomas was better with Tebow…teams spend too much time guarding against his feet and leaves WRs well in the clear. Holmes is more than capable of turning that into good things.
As for Decker vs Thomas, I won't pretend I know a ton about it, as this year I have done less than normal, but I did read a few dissections of the Broncos receiving core from last year, and coupled with what little I saw, and the respect I have for those making the opinions I read, I have come to the conclusion that Thomas was a product of open fields, where Decker is the real deal, just a major knock with ability to stay healthy.
Assuming Manning is up to snuff by the start of the season, there's a good chance both will be quite good though, as Thomas still has great size (though he didn't seem to use it well in my opinion). Either way, from where these guys will be drafted…if you have faith in Manning, I think they are probably a steal at their value.
