10 Team Deep Keeper League ( Keep 7 every year ) Non PPR / Standard scoring . Quick question for input … would you trade Aj Green or Fitz — For the 1.2 pick / Demarius Thomas ? I would be giving Green or Fitz in the trade … Below is my team … CB

Bay bay has alot of potential but he didn't do a whole lot in college, mostly due to that offense and ga. tech's qb, plus bay bay still needs to prove he can stay healthy. And with rivers you don't need luck. So I would do the deal for green but not fitz.

Not sure if this helps you, but in one of my dynasty leagues someone just traded D Thomas straight up for the 1.5 pick.
Who is your target with the 1.2? Do you want one of the QBs (as FTR said, you already have Rivers)? Are you hoping that Richardson is there?

Richardson will go at the 1.1 for sure .. so I'm outta luck with that …. Prolly be looking at Lamar Miller or the next RB who landed in the best position orrr ….Blackmon maybe ? . So the question is ? Would you trade Aj Green for saaaaaaay ?? Lamar Miller / Bay Bay ? CB

Personally, I'm not nearly as sold on this rb class as many people are. I think there are a number of guys with talent and potential but the only sure fire stud is richardson. For example there's a lot to like about miller, decent size, runs a 4.4/40, and comes from a school that's known to produce good rbs. However the guy only played two years of college ball and started one year before turning pro and that concerns me. Plus his racking up 1,272 yards last season vs ACC competition doesn't impress me. And bay bay is another guy with potential but with some concerns so I'd much rather have green than gamble.

Hey Cam,
Personally, I'm a lot less inclined to trade sure-fire WRs (especially young ones) for RB talent (especially question marks) than I used to be. They are important, no doubt, but they are becoming easier and easier to piece together, where as top flight WRs are still tough to come by and are becoming more reliable than the RBs of today.
However, I also know that high level draft choices, especially in dynasty and deep keepers, become more valuable after the draft than before it. Before the draft, most everyone knows who #1 will be (though the fire often quells a bit after the draft), but when people are looking at the 2 on down, there is so much ambiguity that the value is not there. After the draft, however, when people see some seriously tasty situations, people start getting crazy and willing to trade top-notch talent for them.
With that said, though, I think you are already giving up at least a 2nd round type talent, which is about as much as you can ever hope for out of a rookie draft, so unless you think you can turn the pick around after the draft for something truly exceptional, it's simply not worth the risk.

No doubt. I'll be around I'm sure. This year was already promising to be a pretty laid-back year for me seeing as I haven't even so much as looked at any sporting news in the last 3 months (I've caught a few of the highlights, but just simply do not have the time for anything other than full-bore studying and raising kids right now).
I'll be lurking around and throw in my .02 every now and again, then I'll catch up to yall in a year or two when the shit stops pounding the fan.

No… Green and Fitz look to be top 10 WR's that you will keep for 5+ years. The crap shoot #2 RB isn't worth this. Even if you hit on a RB, you'll probably cut him in 5 to 7 years while the owner who gets Green will still be starting him every week.

1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 RB/WR/TE
Eli, Roth
Alfred, Ridley,
Marshall, Cobb, Fitz, Garcon, Britt, DHB

Trade Update …. I ended up Trading Aj Green , Shonne Green , and my 2013 1st rd pick ……. In return I recieved Leshaun McCoy , H. Nicks and his 2013 6th rd pick .
Im happy with this … My starting line up will now have Rivers,McCoy,,Fitz,Nicks,Witten in it . Im still weak at the RB2 position Im hoping Ingram/Blount/or D.Thomas can come through for me .. CB

Seems pretty good to me. I like Green a lot, but must admit that relying on Cinci to put out a decent enough offense for him to excel in consistently would frighten me a bit for the long haul. Nicks is a downgrade, but getting McCoy and ridding yourself of the headache that is Greene is all good. I'm not a huge fan of the big hit you took in '13. The difference between a 1st rounder and a 6th in a league like this is magnified 10-fold, simply because it's the difference between a 2nd round talent grade to about a 14th round talent grade (since any and all talent will easily be gone by the 6th round).
You're essentially giving up a 1st rounder to make the deal work. I get that you needed to throw in somethin, but that seems like a lot.
That being said, you essentially gave up Green and a 1st for Nicks (who I dont think is a major downgrade here) and McCoy, and when I look at it like that, it looks pretty good.

Overall I like the trade for you…the pick part definitely hurt but I don't think you lose anything at wr and you got a nice upgrade at wr

I'm with Doc and FTR and think that I like the trade for you. McCoy is a very nice upgrade over Greene. Nicks situation with the Giants is a whole heck of a lot more fantasy friendly than Green's. I expect you to score more and score more consistently after that trade.
So who else are you planning on keeping? You've listed the no-brainers: Rivers, McCoy, Fitz, Nicks, Witten. That leaves 2 keeper spots.
If it were me, I'd probably keep A Brown and then struggle to decide between Ingram and D Thomas.

With Pitt keeping Wallace I'd keep both Bay bay and Ingram over Brown.

D Thomas = Daniel Thomas, MIA RB not Demaryius.

yeah, that's kind of a ballsy move. Obviously you got a nice upgrade going from ingram to cj but giving up fitz and witten for SS and hernandez might hurt.
