I've bored you for months with a possible draft pick trade. Think I can finally put some names on the board…
Would you trade AD and Andre Johnson for S.Smith, Best, A.Brown, Starks and M.Bush?
I'd be getting the 5 guys and would be starting 4 of the 5.
I could probably get Harvin, Maclin, or Austin instead of S.Smith.

Oh hell no!
Best and Starks will have trouble staying on the field (unless you plan on moving Starks very early after possible breakout due to Kuhn banged up and little to no other competition, but you are taking a risk he even makes it to the season in my opinion), Smith is over the hill, unless you mean the other one, who hasn't looked to rebound from injury, and Bush is going to be no more than a goalline back and maybe COP duty.
If I did it, I'd definitely get Maclin instead, but still…you're trading grade A Prime Rib for chuck roast, but more of it. That's NEVER the good end of the deal. You could keep the two you got and draft scrubs and still put out the same output on a weekly basis, but then you have a better chance of plugging in an overachiever and having a higher total weekly score.
I just say the upside of all of those guys is fairly limited, and even when high is overbalanced by serious downside.

by my understanding, the side getting the superior talent nearly always is getting the better end of the deal, just possibly mitigated only by contract concerns
think about it

Here's more to the majority. Do not do that deal, it'd be a huge win for the other owner.

I so want to pull off a draft day trade… Last year I traded my 1 and 2 for 5.1, 5.2, 6.12, 7.1, and 7.2…
I hit on 2 of the picks… but they were Welker and Jimmy G
I think I also need to stand pat, but I really enjoyed having 8 total picks in rounds 5-7 and having 5 of the 10 picks for one span.
Thanks for the replies!

I was the guy on the other side of this trade earlier this year.. i would try splitting up your trades… trade some one the one… & some one else the 2… I think you can get more picks if you get more owners involved… i have also noticed most people will pay more when the pick is UP

Absolutely Good decision on not going on the first option . Many picks is very intriguing but what you were considering of giving was to much in my opinion . also Tend to agree with Nesky in the last post if you decide to go ahead with a trade attempt ! CB
