I'm in a 12 team keeper league. If you keep one player it costs you your 3rd round pick. Keep 2 and it costs you your 3rd and 4th round pick. No players selected in the first two rounds can be kept. PPR scoring with 6 pts for all tds including passing tds.
I will be keeping Jimmy G and Gronk in place of my 3rd and 4th. Of most cheat sheets top 24 players that will be kept are Stafford, Newton, Romo, Foster, Forte, Sproles, Welker, Nicks and V.Jackson.
Last season I had no keepers and traded my 1st and 2nd picks for 5.1, 5.2, 6.12, 7.1, 7.2. It made me study my butt off and I ended up winning the league. Basically the trade resulted in Roddy White and D.Jax (or Bowe) for Welker, Schaub, Jimmy G, Britt, and Hightower. While Jimmy G and Welker were better than Roddy and D.Jax… my guys could be kept while Roddy and D.Jax can't. At the trade deadline I moved Welker for Calvin, M.Austin, and Rivers. The guys I received couldn't be kept and had no value for this team who was eliminated from playoffs.
Fast forward to this upcoming draft. Order is not set in stone yet, but I look to be in the 1.10 spot. One owner has already approached me about trading back again. Verbal offer was my 1.10 (more like 2.2 or 2.4 with keepers) and 2.3 (more like 2.7-2.9) for his 4.2, 5.11, 6.2, 7.11, and 8.2. I'm really tempted to do this again.
For more insight, I'm looking at 2 of these 6 players for 1.10 and 2.3. Andre, Chris Johnson, S.Jax, AD, Jennings, Wallace.
I like having 11 of the top 87 players, he likes having 4 of the top 19 and with his keeper 5 of the top 30.
Oddly enough I won the league and the 2nd place owner was the one who traded me his 5th, 6th, and 7th for my 1st. I don't see it as a clear cut advantage either way, I just like taking more swings and hoping to have a few home runs.
Sorry for the neverscared length post. Figured I needed to explain the entire situation and it's the off season!
Thanks!
