I don't know about all of you, but I'm tired of the forum comments getting blown out and unreadable.  Now that the fanatics draft is over, I have a couple of new themes I'll be testing. Please be patient with site availability and format as I implement these changes. Thanks!

EDIT: Major changes are done. I'll be making minor tweaks here and there, but for the most part the new look is complete. I upgraded the theme, and the forum is now much more readable and dynamically scales to size. As always, if you have any issues or suggestions, please let me know in the forum!

leave us keep the bells n' whistles to a minimum, hmm?  I realize I'm in a minority on this, but I don't see any point in loading down the pgs with lotsa resource-intense crap just to make things look pretty

one man's opinion…

Resource intensive crap… you mean like padded posts that hot link to a bunch of nonsensical images?!?!?Wink

I'm giving you a hard time Doc Mem. Although my webhost has contacted me a couple of times to make sure you aren't a spam account.

"Can you please take a look at your "phoenixfantasysports.com" website at the forums.  There is a post called "Post 500".  It has "2756" post by some account called DrMemory.  Looks like a automated script is creating post to weird stuff and it has "8167" views so people are linking to it.  Please remove that topic and user, and make sure you have the system on to verify new users.  If you still have issues after that make sure you upgrade."

LOL! I had to tell him you were a legit person.

The image slider uptop will be the only thing going, and I can even turn it off if I need to. I just like this theme better because we can actually read all of the comments and things won't get cut off and blown out. How do you like it? (Still making tweaks.)

well, to tell ya the truth, I wuz thinkin' about resource intensive crap that loads on every single pg instead of stuff that just comes along once n' then fades into obscurity…

…if everybody else wuz keepin' up their end in "Post 500", I wouldn't stand out so much – no, check that, I think my obvious superiority would shine through regardless…

but as long as yer tweakin' this thing, I'd be willing to fergive a lot fer a scalable posting font…

…while we're at it, it'd be nifty if the gfx stayed where we put 'em instead of formatting according to some arcane formula that I for one can't find any sense to (see smiley in above post which was supposed  to be at the end of the line…)

Just an FYI, but I often visit the forums from an iPad w/ Safari. In doing this, the "From the Forums" left side-bar takes up about 45% of the screen width leaving the main Forum column squeezed over to the right side. For example, It looks like the phrase "posted in forum Football Talk  by wikkidpissah" is the longest text line defining this space. It won't wrap the text to a second line which might help it stay a side element rather than compete with the main section.

Also the quote and reply doesn't work with safari either (also heard people mention other mobile browsers as well)

Not asking that you make changes, just feedback.

Hail, hail…

I am making this quote and reply from my Android phone. However, I see your point.  Do me a favor if you can,  DGB. Try to quote and reply, appears n the field shows up blank, go back to the post you were trying to quote and press quote and reply again and see if the post appears in your reply the second time.

This theme has built in smartphone and tablet versions. Unfortunately because of the placement of the side bar there isn't anything I can do about this. If you're up for some testing, I want to experiment with moving the widgets to the bottom of the page and making one big display area with no side bar. Not quite sure how that will look, but it's worth a shot.

Couldnt seem to get it to work.

It kept your first quote and reply, but did not block quote the reply… Just looks like the same level text as my " New test of quote and reply "

Hmm. Could be a safari issue. I don't have any iOS devices to test with. Just another reason for you to switch to android. Wink

OK. I turned the left sidebar off and moved the widgets to the bottom. It widens the length of the forum. How does that look on your tablet?

Do the regular readers like it without the tabs on the side? Wikkid, DocMem, Gaybin? (I personally like the tabs so you can see all the recent posts without scrolling down, but that's just me. Cool
